Ballots are out!!! Ballots are out!!!

Greetings Neighbors!

Ballots are out and every registered voter should have received one by now. If you have not received yours, you'll need to personally visit the City Clerk's office at 415 Diamond Street, Door C.  Almost 200 completed ballots have already been delivered to the City Clerk and verified.  Voters are submitting ballots early; very encouraging news!

It's a Runoff! Ballots coming soon! It's a Runoff! Ballots coming soon!

As you know, I’m officially in a runoff election for the District 1 City Council seat.  It was decided this week at the City Council meeting that the runoff will be an all mail-in ballot.

Finishing first on March 7th with 48% of the vote, I was just shy of the 50% + 1 vote necessary to win outright.  Yes, that was a mere 74 votes short.  So ballots get mailed again around April 18th, with just two names this time -   Nils Nehrenheim and the 2nd place finisher.  You’ll be able to vote for me right away by filling in the appropriate bubble corresponding to my name, signing the envelope, placing a stamp on it and dropping it in the mail.  Ballots postmarked later than May 16th won’t be valid or counted so make sure to vote early!
