Fourth Financial Campaign Report
Last Summer, I asked for campaign finance reform. My opponent, whose campaign benefactors include the Chamber of Commerce and Firefighters PACs with money from CenterCal, voted twice against campaign finance reform. Our City gives the Chamber of Commerce $700,000/year, as a no-bid contract. They spend $300,000 annually, banking the rest, having amassed a treasure chest of over $1 million. We’d do better using that money for park lights, public safety, and traffic mitigation. This is cronyism that needs to stop.
