North Redondo Focus

About Us

As Mayor of North Redondo, I will continue to fight for our well-being.

North Redondo beach Supports Councilmember Nils Nehrenheim
Priorities, focus and action for North Redondo

Parks, Homes, Artesia Blvd., Quality of Life

I fought for my council seat in 2017, after defeating an incumbent appointed City Councilmember, and another opponent. I fought hard to get here, I will fight hard to protect you.

North Redondo deserves a fighter for your quality of life, for your businesses and your future. As Concilmembers, we respect each others Council Districts.

As your next Mayor, I will bring the success I had, to our neighborhood.

  • STOP the METRO from coming down the right-of-way.
  • Preserve your single-family homes  in the TRW tract, and other areas in North Redondo.

  • The successful improvements I spearheaded with residents and Council for the Riviera Village.

Artesia Blvd. Focus, with real upgrades

On-the-ground Improvements

Refresh Artesia Blvd. with ground improvements comparable to the Riviera Village. Together, we will channel the successful elements implemented in the Riviera Village to Artesia Blvd. I negotiated $2 Million which is part of the South Bay Galleria.South Bay Social District project approval to pay for it.

We will create a sense of place by implementing:

  1. Outdoor Dining
  2. Outdoor lights, around the trees and from light post to light post.
  3. Replace the sidewalks with pavers.
  4. Improved Streetscapes
  5. Events, Farmers Market & Community driven fucntions

$2 Million

Secured Funding, planing for the future.

Protecting your Quality of Life- Homes, cars, streets
Protecting us against the State

Protecting your Neighborhoods

In the last eight years, I have been on the forefront of protecting our neighborhoods from the State of California.

SB9, SB10, many other State Bills are designed to take-over out local neighborhoods. What are these State Bills? They are designed to increase the density of your neighborhood, getting rid of single-family homes.

I have a proven track record of stopping the Santa Monica-zation of our beach town. We don’t want the problems of the West Side.

  • Proud leader of “Our Neighborhood Voices”, a Statewide Initiative to STOP the densification of our neighborhoods.

  • Preserve your single-family homes  in the TRW tract, and other areas in North Redondo.

  • FIX Artesia Blvd. with on-the-ground improvements like I spearheaded in the Riviera Village.

  • STOP the METRO from coming down the right-of-way.
Real Quality of Life for North Redondo

Public Safety, traffic & Infrastructure Projects

With the passage of Measure FP, we need to make sure that the Fire Station on Grant Avenue is finished on time, under budget. To attract and retain the best Firefighters and Paramedics we need these improvements ASAP.

Other priorities I will focus on:

  1. Safe street crossings on Artesia Blvd.
  2. Bike path upgrades, street markings for bikers.
  3. Traffic Safety on Inglewood Ave: slowing down the “freeway” on Inglewood Ave. and making it safer for pedestrians and bikers alike.
  4. Enforcement of traffic violations.

Endorsements From Neighbors Across North Redondo

We generate results for our customers

“Nils Nehrenheim has worked since 2017 as Redondo Beach District 1 councilmember. He has vision and love for our city and he has done the work. Before his council terms, he was immersed in keeping our pier a pier and not a sprawling mall benefiting a developer. He is a straight shooter who refuses to accept money that may be seen as quid pro quo.

What sets Nehrenheim apart from the others is his experience, passion for Redondo and its people, and his boundless energy.

He has fostered important relationships within the city, and at a state level. He is the guy who has and will continue to work for things like e-bike infrastructure, but will drop everything to head to Sacramento to win state support on local endeavors.”

Lara Duke, District 3

“As a long-time Redondo Beach resident, I’m writing to express my strong support for Nils Nehrenheim as our next mayor. Nils stands out as the most qualified candidate, bringing eight years of invaluable City Council experience to the table.

Nils has consistently demonstrated his commitment to putting residents first. His track record speaks volumes — from saving $100 million through smart pension reform to modernizing City Hall with online permits. As a lifelong South Bay resident and 25-year Ocean Lifeguard, Nils truly understands our community’s unique needs and character.
I urge my fellow residents to vote for Nils Nehrenheim. His experience, vision, and dedication make him the clear choice to lead Redondo Beach into a prosperous future.”

Carissa Robinson -District 3

“Leadership is not about being in charge, it is about taking care of those IN your charge.”

“I proudly endorse Nils Nehrenheim to be the next Mayor of Redondo Beach. I’m excited to work with a leader who not only is transparent in the decisions that are being made but inclusive in the discussions regarding the choices provided that inform that decision.”

Public Safety Chair, Austin Carmichael, District 5

“Nils Nehrenheim unequivocally respectfully declines donations and endorsements from vendors or agencies that work with the city including police and fire, nor does he seek out their endorsements or donations This enables him to enter into discussions, make suggestions, give direction, unbiased as to what’s truly best for the city.

Despite all that he has an extremely respectable list of endorsements from colleagues he’s worked with, other city leaders in California. That demonstrates a LOT of integrity.

His principles really elevate my trust in him and apparently his endorsers as well. Trust is next level now and it was already at a high bar. That’s best of the best in our local mayoral race.”
